Many webmasters/ bloggers want their websites/ blogs have many visitors, including me. How to increase the traffic of our website? Lot of people gave many tips about this and I’m here to summarize and collect some of the useful tips they’ve made.
- Make your article title SEO, good title has eye-catching topic, short and make some of your title is the keyword that highly used in search engine but still relevant with the article.
- Make an up to date article, when Michael Jackson died many people search about Michael Jackson but find dummy site with many “Michael Jackson” words, don’t make article this way, it just increase your popularity slightly but decrease your popularity for a long time. Make article with your opinions about the rising topic, even give solutions about the topic.
- Make a good permalink, http://www.techguideblog.com/2009/07/tips-for-increasing-blog-participation/ is better than http://www.techguideblog.com/?p=99, easier to read and understand. Many said uncle Google prefer the first one.
- Optimize relationship, with e-mail we can give signature () that is placed below your name. People can get curious and click or go to our site. My friend asked me a lot “is that your website?”, “can you teach me how to create website like you?”, “how you can make original article?” and they even give some comments on my website.
- Just like your title relevant with your article, make sure your article have keywords that relevant with the topic about your website/ blog and keep focusing to that one, don’t make article that’s not relevant with your website although it’s popular.
- Exchange your website link; do you have any friends that have websites/ blogs? Ask them to exchange links. The visitors from their websites can be your visitors and they can get more visitors too, mutual-ism.
- Join to traffic exchange website, www.trafficswarm.com can be a good solution to increase your websites traffic.
- Join with social bookmarking websites, such as Technorati and Bloglines.
