Tips to buy a new reasonable computer

Posted by Admin On October - 9 - 2008

First of all, you need to know first, is it necessary to buy computer like this? With feature like this, am I using it? And of course, how much costs I have to spend on my computer? After you’ve answered these questions, the next step is, you have to know the components inside your “dream machine” are good before you take it home. So, these are some tips from me for multimedia and home computer with limited budget:

  1. Processor, I recommend Intel E2000 series for home and E7000/E8000 series for multimedia user. E2000 series are dual-core technology with 65 nm architecture processors and E7000/E8000 series are core 2 duo processors with 45 nm architecture. E2000 series are about 60-80 USD, E7000 at 100-120 USD, and E8000 series I recommend E8400 with 3.0 Ghz, 1333 Mhz FSB, 6MB L2Cache at 168 USD.
  2. RAM, 1 GB system memory is standard now, for home and office this will be enough, and it is cost about 18 USD, for multimedia user, 2 GB with 1 slot is cheaper than 2×1 GB in dual-channel. Don’t push your budget to buy dual-channel, you can buy 2 GB more later, so you have advantage if you buy 1 dimm RAM with 2 GB memory, because you can save to get more.
  3. Motherboard/ Mainboard, choose a motherboard with Intel chipset G945 or G31-ICH7 for home use, it has on-board audio and  on-board graphic, so for home/ office, there are no problem to use on-board VGA and with just 60-70 USD it’s very good deal, and for multimedia user I recommend G43-ICH10, with PCIeX x16 2.0, gigabit LAN, onboard VGA Intel X4500HD, onboard 8 channel audio, RAM support up to 8 GB or more with dual-channel support, SATA ports and for some manufacturer, it has firewire port included, however these mainboard are 150 USD below, even 80 USD is available.
  4. Graphic Card, for home/ office, onboard is OK, and if you want to buy a new graphic card, buy a mainstream card, like ATI HD4600 series or NVidia 9600 series, it muts be below 100 USD, even below 80 USD.
  5. HDD Drive, buy with 320 GB or 250 GB capacity, with 57 USD. It’s better than you buy 80 GB for 40-45 USD. 320 GB has a future prospect, LOL.
  6. Monitor, people say LCD is more energy saving, that’s true, but you must know the ‘Terms of Service’, with same diagonal size, LCD is better, the wider the screen, more watt are used, be careful.

If you buy this system, it’s just take no more than 200 watt, even below 100 in idle. But you don’t have to buy this system, if you have more favorable and cheapest system, you better follow yourself, because many people get disappointed because they don’t get what they want. So, if you want to buy higher system than this, I am telling you now, save your money for that, before you crying out loud.

Earn money for searching the internet

Posted by Admin On October - 7 - 2008

Recently, I have started using a great web search service that allows me to earn money from searching in my normal way. It`s quick and free to set up, keeps you up to date on your earnings and pays out monthly. What you have to do is sign up from here. After you signing up, you will get your account ID and password. Keep it safe, because you must log in with your first password before you can change your password. After log in, you will see a page that show news, today searches, earnings and your affiliate earnings. When you invite your friend to join this service, you will get 10% of his/her searches and you will get 5% of your friend’s friend and 2.5% from your friend’s friend’s friend.

What about the results? Are the results reliable and effective as other? Don’t worry about that. Our web search service is provided by YAHOO! Opinions on search engine providers are clearly subjective, but we believe that YAHOO! provides extremely high quality search results that compare favorably with the available competition.

Before you start searching, you have to change your search box first. In your account page, there is a link to change your search box. You have to click it and start using it right away. And you maybe ask, how do I get paid? Sign in to your account and tell them how you want to be paid: either into your bank account or via PayPal. They pay you every 30 days, 45 days after each month end. e.g. For searches in January they pay you in mid March. There is a £20 minimum payment, so if you have not reached this amount in any month they will hold the payment over to the next month.

This service currently works on Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7 ( IE7) and Mozilla/ Firefox browsers. How much money received clearly depends upon how much you use the service for your typical day to day Internet searches. Based upon our experience to date we estimate that the average user regularly searching the internet could readily raise in excess of £50 per year.

But, you must know that your searches is in their terms and conditions. Here are the guidelines from them:

  1. Search with the intention of using the search results, not necessarily every time as we understand the need to refine search terms, but we assume an intention to look at the results is motivating the search.
  2. Repetitive search terms and frequency of search. We take no interest in, or view on, individual search terms but our filters will exclude high volumes of the same search terms or unusually high frequency.
  3. Please do not use the search box simply to connect to known web addresses, we cannot make payment for this type of use. In any case, we now offer a Bookmark section on your homepage as part of our service where you can enter your own links for regular use.
So please do not search, for example, for BBC, Facebook, Youtube or our own myhpf site as these are bookmarked links available under the Featured Links of your homepage.
  4. If you use the box to access competitive services of our search engine partner such as Gmail, Google and Ask, then again we cannot pay for these searches.
  5. At all times we will enforce the terms and conditions of our search partner Yahoo! and will exclude search activity that Yahoo! regard as inappropriate.
